Charlene & Jordan’s Engagement

January 28, 2009 in Engagement

I met with Charlene & Jordan on Saturday for their engagement session, which was sure to be interesting.  The weather was fantastic without a cloud in the sky.  That is, apart from the -14C weather outside.  They were both troopers and we muscled through the cold and got some really fun shots.

I like to try something different every time I am out shooting a couple, and this was no exception.  They are both big hockey fans and both ref which makes for some truly unique engagement portraits of the two of them.  I love to shoot fun and different things.

We started off at a back yard hockey rink.  Of course I made them draw in the snow a little before we got to the real work of shoveling it off.

This shot took a few tries but we finally got it!

So unique! I love it.

This is one of the photos that really shows how cold it was.

We headed down after to the local public school to make use of their brick wall.

When it is that cold out, hugging is the best way to stay warm.

Did I mention they were really fun to work with?
